Upstate Ladies Victorious

The Upstate Ladies girls 16U AAU basketball team won their division at this past weeks' sanctioned AAU tournament The Shamrock Shootout.

The 7th Annual Shamrock Shootout was held in Rome, New York on June 6 and 7, 2009. The event, sanctioned by the National Amateur Athletic Union fielded 54 visiting teams from the northeast.

The Upstate Ladies division was very competitive, and included opponents from the Tri-Valley Thunder of Rome, Lady Huskies of Waterville, the Utica Lady Knicks, Rome Lady Rebels, Catskill Mountain, and Syracuse Upstate Ballers AAU programs. The Upstate Ladies finished the tournament with a record of 3 wins and one loss, with the victory assured by head to head competition.

The Upstate Ladies were ably coached by Brian Carlisle.
